The date
for our
wedding
was June
17th,
2006. I
was
trying
to come
up with
something
for my
fiance,
Shawna,
for a
wedding
gift and
since I
am in
the
business
of
building
Musclecars
I
couldn't
think of
anything
else but
to build
her the
car she
alway's
dreamed
about. A
68
Camaro.
It's
february,
five
months
before
the big
day and
I locate
a 68 RS
in the
local
paper
for sale
in
northern
Wisconsin.
I bolted
up north
checked
it out
and a
deal was
struck.
The next
day I
picked
up the
car and
then
rented a
mini
storage
stall to
keep the
car out
of site.
Since
this was
going to
be a
surprise
for
Shawna I
simply
could
not have
it at
the
shop. I
worked
on the
car for
the
first
month in
the mini
storage
basically
taking
inventory
and
disassembly
before
turning
to my
friend
Paul
Nowak. Paul
works
with me
at our
shop and
I told
Paul
what I
was
planning
to do
and he
agreed
to help
out so
off the
car went
to his
shop at
home. We
worked
on the
car for
the next
three
months
at his
place
and got
the car
done
three
days
before
our
wedding
day. We
got
married
at the
Westgate
Sportsman's
Club and
right
after
the
ceremony
I made
an
announcement
for
everyone
to meet
out in
the
parking
lot.
Paul and
I had
brought
the car
to this
location
a couple
days
before
and
parked
it in a
building
next to
the
parking
lot.
Once
everyone
was
outside
I handed
a
keychain
to my
new
Bride
that
said "To
my wife
Shawna"
and at
that
very
moment,
before
it even
sunk in
as to
what it
was for,
Paul
fired
the car
up and
parked
it right
in front
of her.
She was
so
surprised
and
speechless!
This has
been the
best day
of my
life!
I want
to say
thanks
to Paul
Nowak
for all
your
hard
work on
this
project.
You
really
helped
make a
dream
come
true and
I can't
tell you
how much
this
meant to
me.
Thanks
again!
